Policies
Bookings
A booking holds one field for the location's slot length (seeded placeholder: 60 minutes). The hour stays unavailable while the booking is confirmed or the unpaid hold has not expired. A second request for an overlapping time is rejected. Slot length, minimum duration, booking window, and the 30-minute lead time are placeholders and can be edited per location in admin.
Cancellation and refunds
Placeholder rule, copied onto each booking and editable per location: cancel 24 or more hours before the start for a full refund of a captured payment. Cancel with less than 24 hours remaining for a 50% refund. After the start time, the placeholder rule keeps the full charge. Unpaid holds are released with no charge. If the payment has a real Stripe test PaymentIntent, the refund is sent to Stripe. Stub payments are recorded locally only. Moving a booking does not recalculate a payment that was already captured.
Payments
With STRIPE_SECRET_KEY set to a test key, pay opens Stripe Checkout in test mode. Without that key, the button records a local stub. The site never asks for a card number on its own pages, and it does not store card numbers. A deposit percent on the location, when set, charges that share now. Empty means the full amount due. Both are placeholders. Confirmation of a Checkout payment comes from the webhook, or from reading the Checkout session when the player returns.
Weather and closures
No weather policy is confirmed. Do not assume rain, heat, or lightning cancels a booking. Staff can block one field, or add a holiday closure for a whole location.
Conduct
Placeholder expectation: follow staff instructions, leave the field when the hour ends, and keep play inside the booked pitch. A final code of conduct still needs owner approval.
Leagues
The seeded league can take team and individual registration up to a placeholder capacity. A fee above zero holds the spot as pending until it is paid from the account page. With a Stripe test key that opens Checkout. With no key it records a local stub. Staff can generate a round-robin and a top-N single-elimination bracket. Treat dates, fees, and the table as a preview.
